You’re Welcome Here. You do not have to be an elite racer to belong at Jersey Gravel Grinder. Aid stations are stocked\, the course is marked\, support is on the road\, and nobody gets left out there. Ride your ride. What bike do I need?Gravel started with a bring what ya got attitude well before dedicated gravel bikes existed. So while a gravel bike is optimal\, feel free to bring a road bike with max width tires\, a hybrid\, a mountain bike or an ebike. We strive to be inclusive and provide a great experience for riders of all types\, abilities and gear. What tire size do you recommend? We recommend at least 38 mm tires. 40-45 mm is even better and gives you a great ride with traction and comfort.Do I need to race the segments?Racing the segments is up to you. It’s fun to sprint and challenge yourself\, but if you want to chill and enjoy that part of the ride that’s fine too.Can I ride with friends?Absolutely. In fact many riders make new riding buddies during our event. Are e-bikes allowed?Yes. Just let us know so we don’t mix your results with the other categories. What happens if I change distances? You can edit your entry in BikeReg to move up or down. If there’s a different cost\, the registration platform will simply charge you the difference. PricingOur pricing rewards early sign-ups and each ride category has limited space. Prices increase either by date or when a category sells out.
