Race Format
How the Mac gets timed.
Your official result is the combined time across two timed super segments: a mass/gun start at River Road, a neutral transfer over the one-lane Bulls Bridge, then a restart on Schaghticoke Road. Fastest combined time wins.
Neutral start (3 mi)
Controlled roll-out. No racing. All traffic laws apply.
Super Segment 1
Mass/gun start at River Road. Timing begins when the first rider reaches the start line. Soul & Adventure 8 mi, Mega 29 mi.
Neutral transfer (2 mi)
Cross the one-lane Bulls Bridge. Not timed.
Super Segment 2
Timed restart on Schaghticoke Road. Timed loop, finish back at the same timing point. Soul 14 mi, Adventure & Mega 39 mi.
Traffic control
Police provide traffic control at the left onto Macedonia Road (Soul & Adventure mile 17.7, Mega mile 38.6).
Combined time = results
Overall results are based on your combined time from Super Segment 1 + Super Segment 2.
The Course
A loop carved by glaciers, ridden by gravel.
Macedonia rolls out from New Milford and threads up to 86 miles of farm two-track, quiet back roads, and ridge fire road through Northwest Connecticut. Old-growth canopy. Stone-wall cuts. Punchy climbs and fast descents.

Rider Prep
What to bring, what to skip.
Macedonia is a self-supported gravel race with aid. Bring tools and brains. We'll bring the dirt, the snacks, and the route.
Gravel bike, 38-45mm tires
Tubeless strongly recommended (flint is real).
1× or 2× drivetrain w/ low gear
Suggest 1:1 minimum for the steeper pitches.
Two bottles + 500 cal/hr nutrition
Stocked aid stations along the way (Skratch, GU, pancakes, PBJ).
Spare tube, plugs, multitool, pump
Mechanical support roams the course but be self-sufficient.
